Over the past year, I have been taught and encouraged to build my wellbeing toolkit and as someone who finds visual/tangible tools to be very helpful, I wanted to make an actual toolkit rather than keep it as a mental activity. Seeing the “My Safety Box” workshop gave me the chance to make my idea a reality. Creating, decorating and filling this box allowed me to tap into my creative side, a side I wish I could use more often but am usually busy.
The idea of having a tool attached to each of my senses is a really good idea and 4 out of 5 is good in my opinion. I included plushies (some handmade by my mum), affirmations, handmade candles, and my favourite being the cut outs of some of my favourite things such as anime, books, games, music, etc.
I hope sharing my box can give others the idea to make their own, can highly recommend the workshop. Also give some ideas for what you guys could put into yours!
