Menopause & Me

Menopause for most is a natural and inevitable part of a woman’s life. Nevertheless, symptoms associated with menopause and the lead up to it (perimenopause) can be complex, debilitating and life changing.

Menopause happens when women stop having periods and are no longer able to conceive naturally. Symptoms can include hot flushes, night sweats, mood swings and anxiety, vaginal dryness, difficulty sleeping, losing interest in sex and/or difficulty remembering things and concentrating.

During the workshop we will explore:
• What happens to our bodies during menopause
• Common symptoms
• Treatment options
• Self-care including diet and exercise
• Personal experiences of perimenopause and menopause
• Signposting to helpful resources.
